Katie skillfully treats a large range of injuries both in and out of the water. If Katie were to tell you her passion, she would say it is using the beneficial properties of water to improve and heal her patients so that they can return to the things that they enjoy most in life.
Katie graduated with honors from Whatcom Community College in 1996 with an Associates Degree in Science as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Katie is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Katie is a certified Aquatic therapist and Master Instructor and is recognized by the United States Water Fitness Association, the Aquatic Therapy Rehab institute, and the Aquatic Exercise Association.

Katie has been an islander since 1976, and it brings her great joy to assist her community with her therapeutic skills, helping her patients return to health and mobility gives her great joy.
When Katie is not in the clinic, you will find her and her husband Mike, with their two miniature dachshunds, Pippa and Bozzley, either at their farm, or out crabbing on the beautiful waters of Puget Sound. You might even find her serving up coffee and coffee beans at their family business, Honeymoon Bay Coffee Roasters.
